A visit to the Overberg region 200km from Cape Town between 4-7 September 2025. A splendid drive via Hermanus, Napier and Bredasdrorp onto Arniston.  The Overberg has rugged mountain ranges, fynbos, rolling wheat and canola fields, and splendid coastal vistas. Birding in the Overberg region is particularly rewarding for those intent on viewing the blue crane, South Africa's national bird. The landscape is dominated by gently to moderately undulating hills enclosed by mountains and the ocean. The region is a dream location for landscape and seascape photography.
